Pals 'n Play Pals 'n Play is a therapeutic recreation program for children with developmental disabilities. This program is held at the Federated Church one Friday evening a month during the school year. Each child is paired with a junior high or high school volunteer to be their "pal". Siblings are invited to attend also so parents can have a short evening of respite! We will provide a light supper in addition to our normal activities. A respite provider with CPR certification is on site. Pals 'n Play focuses on each child's strengths, build friendships, and provides a unique opportunity for children with disabilities to participate in an organized recreational setting. Program Goals:
"You can learn more about a person in an hour of play than in a lifetime of conversations." Plato If you are interested in signing your child up for this program or if you would like to volunteer to be a "pal" please contact The Arc of Platte County.
